The Champs-Elysées Film Festival celebrates 5 years of Franco-American cinematic collaboration
On this Throwback Thursday, we are wishing the Champs Élysées film festival, which is currently underway in Paris, a very happy fifth anniversary! Five years ago, this cinematic celebration was originally created by Sophie Dulac whose goal was to display American and French independent full length and short films and to promote the alliance between the United States and France--the flags of red, white and blue!
This festival has been a success from the very beginning, hosting over 15,000 people in its first year! It attracted the producer of The Artist, Thomas Langmann, and the amazing directors of Intouchables, Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache.
We are SO excited for the rest of the Champs Élysées Film Festival. Don't miss the incredible new cinematic masterpieces on Europe's most famous avenue, in a country so well known for its thriving film culture! The festival ends on June 14th! Take a break from your typical Paris tourism activities and sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
