Saint-Marcel Lutheran Church
Saint-Marcel Lutheran Church
You could easily pass by this little church in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, but it would be a shame not to notice it. In all its religious statuture, the Saint-Marcel Lutheran Church is wedged between two apartment buildings and was built in 1908 by the French architects Jean Naville and Henri Chauquet. You simply have to admire its white brick facade littered with blind arcade and its semicircular portal encompassed by intricately carved leaves. Still a place of worship, the Saint-Marcel Lutheran Church has been a venue for concerts for many years and more to come. The small size of the building allows for a feeling of intimacy with the musicians that can only be rendered in such an environment!
