HIGHLIGHTS: MADAME OSE BASHUNG

From December 12 to December 28, 2024, the Théâtre du Rond-Point will be transformed into a flamboyant and sparkling cabaret to welcome Madame ose Bashung. Created by Sébastien Vion and starring the exuberant Corine, Brenda Mour and Patachtouille, this show pays tribute to the musical genius of Alain Bashung, an iconic figure in French music.

Madame ose Bashung is a musical and poetic journey through the rich and complex world of Alain Bashung. The artists revisit his best-known songs, such as “Gaby”, “Vertige” and “Osez Joséphine,” infusing them with new energy and a touch of quirky, light-hearted cabaret.

On stage, Corine, Brenda Mour and Patachtouille morph into flamboyant visions decked out in extravagant costumes and stunning hairstyles.

Madame ose Bashung is more than a cabaret, it's a declaration of love to an artist who has left his mark on French music with great boldness, freedom and poetry. This show gives his work a renewed chance to shine on stage.

Whether you're a die-hard Alain Bashung fan or simply looking for an unforgettable evening out, Madame ose Bashung is an event not to be missed. This cabaret show, complete with high heels and prim wigs, will transport you into a unique musical and poetic universe, where emotion and a sense of fun come together to perfection.

Ooh la la... that's Paris!

History and Fun Facts about Théâtre du Rond-Point

If you ever want to feel the pulse of the French theatre scene, the Théâtre du Rond-Point is the place to be! But which roundabout or "rond-point" is it exactly? It's one of the most famous roundabouts in Paris, located near the Champs-Elysées, smaller than the famous Etoile roundabout under the Arc de Triomphe. Since 1981, it has attracted a host of directors from all over the world and a host of people with a passion for theatre. A major venue for contemporary creation since 1991, the Rond-Point does not programme "what people like, but what they don't yet know they like", according to Jean-Michel Ribes, the theatre's former director. Since 2023, Laurence de Magalhaes and Stéphane Ricordel have taken over the reins of this theatre, which is still rooted in contemporary creation and focuses on living authors.
