Take a romantic Parisian stroll
In true Parisian lover's style, take a balade through one of the many hidden neighbourhoods on offer in the city of love. Hand in hand, opt for a romantic stroll with your Valentine along the picturesque banks of the Seine. Bustling with stalls offering art prints, trinkets, and second-hand books, there is plenty to admire on a walk past Paris’s famous river — not to mention the skyline of famous monuments you will pass on your way!
If you've already taken in the sights of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe and you're in search of some local colour, opt for the cobbled streets of Montmartre: Paris’s northernmost district, recognised worldwide for its culture of arts and music. This gorgeous region remains somewhat unspoilt by the hustle and bustle of the city centre, whilst still offering a selection of landmarks (the Sacré-Cœur Basilica and a selection of cancan shows to name just two). When set to the melody of an accordion, these streets bristle with vivacity and colour — the perfect setting for an easy-going Valentine’s Day in Paris!
Take a pause from the sightseeing and stop at a local brasserie for a delicious vin chaud (that’s mulled wine for our English-speakers). If you have more of a sweet tooth, the decadently rich hot chocolate at Angelina's is known worldwide for its traditional French hot chocolate. This tearoom has gone viral numerous times for its enormous dollops of cream and mouth-wateringly thick beverages — it’s an absolute must-see during your stay in Paris, and a perfect way to warm up after your romantic stroll under the Parisian winter sunshine!
